About Us

The Development Principles Group ("DPG" or the "Group") provides fund management and investment advisory services (licensed and regulated by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong) focusing on structured equity investments in China. We supply growth capital to leading middle market private entrepreneur-driven companies in traditional industries with a view to generating substantial value within a 2-7 year time frame. Our team of 15 investment professionals, based in DPG's Beijing, Hong Kong and Chengdu offices, manage assets in excess of US$ 200 million.

The Group’s first managed fund, Development Partners Fund (“DPF I”), was launched in June 2005, and had realized an investment IRR of over 100% with no defaults at the time when its wind-up process was completed in early 2009. The Group’s second managed fund, Development Principles Fund II L.P. (“DPF II”), was launched in April 2008.

Our anchor investors and limited partners in our managed funds include some of the biggest government-backed European development banks and development finance institutions from the Netherlands, Germany and France, and one of the largest trading conglomerates in Japan / Asia.
