PROPARCO

PROPARCO is the Investment and Promotions company for Economic Cooperation. Created in 1977 and originally specializing in venture capital, PROPARCO is a subsidiary of the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) dedicated to financing the private sector. Its shareholders include French and international financial institutions, and private French companies. Proparco has more than US$ 1.45 billion under management and has been an investor in China since the latter part of the 1990's with a dedicated office in Beijing. The investment in DPF represents the first investment in a China fund manager and the highest dedicated investment amount ever.
